First and foremost I am a South African born in Cape Town and raised in Hermanus.
I studied Information Technology in Cape Town prior to taking a job with Siemens in Munich Germany. Three years later, I moved back to South Africa, where I worked my way up from a Software Support Engineer to a Systems Engineer at a small software company. That company was purchased by Kaplan, and I was relocated to Atlanta, US to create their US support department. I continued to grow in my career, becoming a VMware Engineer and Infrastructure Manager for their IT training business. I spent the following 4 years at AirWatch where I held multiple roles from Sr Systems Engineer, Solutions Architect and Infrastructure Manager.
I spend the last 2 years architecting and implementing VMware SDDC stacks at customers in a Sr Solutions Architect role, and in 2018 took a more pre-sales focused role as Sr Solutions Engineer at Sovereign Systems.
In my spare time, I like being outdoors as much as possible with either Golf, Photography, CrossFit, Mountain Biking or Kayaking keeping me busy and of course, spend time with my friends, wife and French bulldog Cody. Not a fan of American sports, but I am big supporter our Atlanta United soccer team. Welcome to hit me up and talk about rugby, golf, cars, travel and video games anytime 🙂
